About the Pads - Technical
Your pad is made in layers:
The bottom layer is a very high quality 100% Cotton flannel that is traditionally used in babies’ cloth diapers. Why? I use this is because it’s what goes against the horse. It is durable, washable, hypoallergenic, breathable and wicks moisture away from their back. As a bonus, it allows the rider to quickly check for saddle fit at the end of each ride (sweat/dirt marks are very visible but disappear in the wash).
The middle layers are four layers of cotton and wool batting. The cotton will absorb and wick away the sweat towards the top layer. The wool batting softens the pad to absorb impact from the rider and is
helping to wick moisture away from their back. This batting will last a very long time if properly cared for.
The top and final layer of the pad is a tightly woven 100% cotton that is typically used in quilts. This fabric has endless design possibilities and is proven to be hard wearing. Unlike man-made materials it does not trap heat and is (again) very breathable and washable. The quilting is done with high quality thread guaranteeing an eye-catching finish for many rides. This quilting also serves to hold the batting together and keep it from breaking down preventing “voids” in the pad.
CUSTOM SADDLE PAD ORDER AND ACCEPTANCE
27 Cedars is all about Custom Saddle Pads. I will communicate with you through the design and manufacturing processes on what shape, size, materials (top and batting), quilting pattern, trim and special features that are need for your perfect saddle pad. Lead time will be communicated at time of order. Generally, two weeks depending on how many orders are already placed and your saddle pads complexity.All sales are final and a %50 deposit is required to get started.If you change your mind on what is already selected, let me know right away and I will try to alter or change it before delivery. Extra costs may be required, depending on level of completion of your order. These alterations take time and material. Changes made before completion of that “step” will cost you nothing, so let me know immediately.You will be contacted once your custom pad is ready for delivery. Please note that all balances are due in full to release your pad for delivery.
RETURNS/REFUNDS
If there is a defect or damage in my product (even from shipping), I will work with you to have it returned, repaired or re-made at my expense. I will make it right. Contact me right away.
Pre-made pads are eligible for return or exchange only if they are clean and un-used. Return or exchange shipping costs will be the purchasers responsibility. Returns or exchanges will only be accepted within 30 days of purchase date. Contact me right away to make your return or exchange.
A 'Custom Order' is defined as any product that is made-to-order, or any product that was not in- stock and readily available to ship at the time of purchase.
Custom orders are deemed Final Sale and are not able to be returned or refunded based on buyers remorse.
